SCHWARTZ DOUGLAS BYRON, 63, a native and active member of the Miami Community, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2003, due to complications following surgery. Doug's passion for life and his ever-positive attitude will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. A 1957 graduate of Miami High and Hurricanes AZA, Doug helped organize many class reunions. He was an avid fan and graduate of UF (Class of 61) and a devoted brother of Pi Lambda Phi fraternity. He was a spiritual leader, lay cantor, and past president of his second home, Temple Beth Or. Doug retired six years ago after 35 years of dedicated service as a special agent with the IRS CID. Doug is survived by loving companion Renee Goldenberg; former wife, Lynn Schwartz Adrian; and mother-in- law, Judy Steinberg; devoted father of Michael (Risa) Schwartz and Brenda (Greg) Rosen; caring brother to Roberta (Ted) Provder, Lorraine (Arnold) Daxe, and Herbert Schwartz; and by his precious granddaughters, Danielle and Julia; and his many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at Congregation Bet Breira (9400 S.W. 87th Avenue). Interment to follow at Mt. Nebo Memorial Gardens, 5505 N.W. 3rd Street.
