Dear Brothers and Pledges:

 

Having read so many exchanges about the meaning of the Nose Bowl, the spirit it engenders in Pledges, the bonding, and the maturation of everyone in the Pledge Class toward each other and the Brotherhood - I offer this poignant reminder of what Pi Lam is and was all about. An experience that has helped all of us grow into mature and successful citizens.

 

Here, gentlemen, is an example of a REAL Pi Lam Pledge Class in a photo taken in October 1962 just prior to our victorious Nose Bowl game - a game that later transformed us into an even more adult and somber band of young men.

 

If you recognize any of the lawyers, judges, accountants, doctors and other professionals - the resemblance is only coincidental.
