Florida Delta Alumni,
Success is the only word that can describe the past two months here at 15 Frat Row. The year started out with the addition of our Beta Pledge class. In the past two months, these six pledges have already shown how dedicated they are to Pi Lam and are currently seeking a second spring pledge class. In one year, the Founding Fathers have seen the size of Pi Lam double, and we are all very excited to see what the future will bring.
January was only the beginning of our success. Brother Matt Seymour was appointed the National Treasurer of Friends for Life of America, a foundation founded by the son of a Pi Lam Alumni that benefits children with Cancer. Brother James Amedeo was also appointed the Assistant Director of Atrium Performance at Friends for Life. Brothers Lucas Higman and James Amedeo both earned Assistant Directorships at Accent, a group that brings prominent speakers to the University of Florida and brother Josh Krehbiel was appointed a position at IFC as well. With respectable positions in premier organizations and the beginning of our involvement on campus, students are beginning to realize that Pi Lam never went away.
February  also brought great success. We won the Pi Beta Phi Down n’ Dirty Football Philanthropy, and Brother Nick Norden has been slated by the Ignite Party, and will run for Senate this upcoming March. Our football team made it back into the Top 10 ranks, holding 8th place.  New Traditions have also been installed. We held our first Family Weekend, which was focused around the Brother vs. Pledge football game. This game was organized in order for us to better prepare for this fall’s Nose Bowl, and in order for the Spring Pledges to have football as a part of the pledgin process. Also, our new website can be found at www.Florida-Delta.com. We are very proud of our newly initiated brothers, our recent accomplishments, and we are very excited for our future. We are looking forward to the next Alumni Weekend, which will also feature Nose Bowl. See you then and thank you for all your support.
           Fraternally,
                       James Amedeo
