The formal presentation was made by Dr. John S. Allen, Vice President of the University. Also present to honor the dean and Mrs. Weil were Paul Marks, President of the Alumni Association, our faculty advisors, Professor Glicksburg and Dr. Thompson and their wives, and almost 150 other alumni, friends and guests. The Dean was presented with a set of luggage, which he hoped would come in hany in his forthcoming trip to Israel. An open house, which was attended by hundreds, followed the formal dedication. On Sunday, April 7, 1956, against a background of flowing violins, Florida Delta dedicated its new home to Dean Joseph Weil. It will stand as a living memorial to the outstanding efforts of the dean, who made the greatest single contribution, and whose efforts were the motivating force behind the great fraternal achievements that made this house possible.
