| The Pearl was dedicated to Michael Rosin, pc
'68, medical student, who devoted many years to make Pilam a better
fraternity.
On Campus leaders from Pilam included Dave Arnold (IFC Service Chairman), Robert Klausner (IFC President), Josh Rodstein (student Senate), Ed Wozitsky (associate Justice of the Honor Court) and Marshall Geisser (student Senate). Eliot Kleinberg wrote for the Alligator, Tony Seker was a Navy ROTC squad leader, Gerald Sanchez worked on the debate team and Henry Volpe was assistant producer of Gator Growl. In Service, Mike Frank (Moke) was the D-PHI-E ice cream eating contest winner, consuming 142 scoops. The $400 in sponsored donations was highest among all frats. Big Bounce was the biggest fundraising event on campus. Social activities included several band parties, Oldie-Goldie night, Casino night, movie parties and others. PC '75 started with 54 pledges. The Gators beat SMU 40-14 to start rush week. Other activities included Beer Ball, Casino night, tubing down the Itchnetucknee, Jai-alai and Crescent Beach. 35 brothers were eventually initiated. Nosebowl was tied 0-0 at halftime. A few bad breaks and injuries for Pilam turned the tide in the second half, final score was Tep 31, Pilam 12. In the end, however, the pledges realized more than ever the true meaning of Nosebowl. It was then evident that like every pledge class before them, The Pledge Class of '75 came out of their Nosebowl as a winner. In Sports, we finished 3rd in Volleyball. We won racquetball, were second in soccer, third in handball, sixth in golf, fifth in Tennis. Overall, as of the date the Pearl was printed, we were in fourth place in the race for the Cup. Best Senior Athelete was Vic Alonso, Best Senior Brother was Neil Freeman and Best Freshman brother was Eliot Kleinberg. Rex was Robert Merlin, Archon was Richard Bloomstein and Andrew Caplan, KOE was Mike Cohen and Elliot Brown, Scribe was Ted Goldblatt and Ed Wozitsky, Pledgemaster was Reed Helman and Steve Aronow, and Marshall was Keith Nelson and Paul Suid. The Editor of the Pearl was Gregg Truxton. Pilam had 129 brothers and 22 little sisters.
